Environmental Management Policy

Sparko has a genuine commitment to protecting the environment and strives to eliminate the environmental impacts of its activities.

The company goal is to provide maximum practicable protection to the environment by meeting and at all times exceeding legal and regulatory requirements.

Management of the environment is planned for each site and addresses client and authority requirements. Addressing specific methods to minimize the environmental impact of cleaning activities both in and around the site. At all times waste is minimized.

All chemicals used are environmentally friendly and material safety data sheets are kept on the premises at all times and referred to regularly or when required.

The company regards its environmental responsibilities as a vital and integral part of its operations and is committed to maintaining the highest practicable standards.

Work Health and Safety Policy

SPARKO is committed to achieving enviable performance in the management of work health and safety. This includes providing a safe place of work and the prevention of injuries and illness for all SPARKO and customer personnel.

All staff are responsible and accountable for the workplace health and safety of themselves, workers and visitors under their control. Furthermore, all individuals are responsible for their own health and safety and are expected to work safely and in accordance with all our health and safety requirements.

We will achieve this through the following objectives:

  1. Complying with all relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and other requirements such as relevant industry standards, codes of practice, Self Insurer standards.
  2. Adopting a formal risk management process to identify and evaluate workplace health and safety risks and working to eliminate or otherwise control and monitor them in accordance with hierarchy of controls and legal requirements.
  3. Establishing measurable health and safety objectives and targets to ensure continuous improvement to achieve the elimination of work related illness and injury.
  4. Reporting and reviewing performance and providing sufficient resources to support the delivery of improvement plans.
  5. Maintaining a documented Work Health and Safety Management System which meets the needs of the business and consistent with AS/NZS 4801.
  6. Providing appropriate health and safety training and education to all employees.
  7. Consulting and involving all workers in decision making processes affecting workplace health and safety.
  8. Making available relevant health and safety information to all workers and visitors to the workplace.
  9. Ensuring the Work Health and Safety Policy is effectively implemented, communicated and made publically available.
